1. Authors’ Rights
- Authors retain copyright to their work and grant GERR the right of first publication.
- Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing free sharing and adaptation of the work with proper attribution.
2. Versions Permitted for Deposit
Authors are permitted to deposit the following versions of their work in repositories:
- Preprint: The version submitted before peer review.
- Postprint: The peer-reviewed version, before formatting by the journal.
- Final Published Version: The formatted version published by GERR.
3. Repository Options
Authors may deposit their work in:
- Institutional repositories.
- Public repositories such as ResearchGate, Academia.edu, or Zenodo.
- National or subject-specific repositories (e.g., Garuda, ArXiv)
- Personal or departmental websites.
4. Attribution Requirements
When depositing their work, authors must include:
- The title of the work.
- Names of all authors.
- A statement identifying GERR as the original publisher.
- A DOI or link to the published article on the GERR website.

5. Encouragement for Early Sharing
- Authors are encouraged to share preprints online before and during submission to GERR. Early sharing enhances visibility and citation potential.
6. Non-Exclusive Distribution Agreements
Authors may enter into separate contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of their work (e.g., inclusion in a book), provided they acknowledge initial publication in GERR.
7. Embargo Policy
- GERR imposes no embargo period on any version of the work. All versions may be shared immediately upon submission or publication.
8. Legal and Technical Notes
- Under the CC BY 4.0 license, users are free to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially.
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
- Attribution must include the author’s name, the original publication date, the journal title, and a link to the license.
- Modifications to the work must be clearly indicated.
