Accelerated Publication

EduAI Nexus offers optional priority editorial and production handling for authors who need a faster timeline. Availability must be confirmed by the editorial office before accelerated processing begins.

Fees and Payment

The accelerated APC is calculated as: 3 × the regular APC.

Publication track Total APC per accepted article
Regular publication USD50
Accelerated Publication 3 × USD50 = USD150

USD150 is the total APC for the accelerated track, not an additional charge on top of USD50. The APC is payable only after formal acceptance. Payment does not purchase acceptance or a guaranteed publication date. See Revenue Sources for the full fee and waiver policy.

Editorial and Peer-Review Standards

The same editorial, double-anonymous peer-review, and ethical standards apply to both tracks. Priority handling does not reduce the required scholarly assessment. Reviewers advise the editor, who makes the final decision. Additional review or revision may be required, and a manuscript may be rejected at any stage before acceptance.

Target Timeline

  • Initial editorial screening: within 3 working days.
  • Peer review: approximately 14 days.
  • Author revision: within 7 days, unless a different deadline is agreed.
  • Final decision: within 30 days of submission.
  • Online publication: approximately 7–14 days after acceptance and completion of production requirements.

These are targets, not guarantees. Actual timing depends on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, further assessment, and the timely return of revisions, proofs, and required documents.

How to Request the Track

Only the corresponding author needs an OJS account. Submit the manuscript through OJS and request accelerated handling in the submission comments or editorial discussion before processing begins. The editorial office must confirm availability, the applicable APC, and any approved waiver or discount in writing. Email is for enquiries; manuscripts sent by email do not constitute a submission.

Withdrawal Conditions

Regular-track manuscripts have no withdrawal fee. Author-initiated withdrawal of an unpublished accelerated-track manuscript after accelerated processing begins incurs USD75, provided the track and charge were disclosed and requested before processing began. There is no withdrawal charge before accelerated processing begins or when the journal rejects the manuscript.

USD75 is the total journal charge for that withdrawal. It is not added to the full accelerated APC. Any APC already paid is credited against it and any excess is refunded. Approved waivers and discounts must be respected, and the withdrawal charge must not exceed the APC agreed for that manuscript. Published articles are handled through correction or retraction procedures, as explained in the Article Withdrawal and Correction Policy.
