Archiving Policy

EduAI Nexus: Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Education is committed to maintaining the scholarly record and continuity of access. This policy distinguishes the active journal website, operational backups, author deposits, and independent long-term preservation.

1. Current Access and Preservation Status

Status reviewed: 1 November 2026. The journal currently provides access through its OJS website. Successful external preservation deposits and issue-level coverage through PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) or CLOCKSS have not yet been verified. EduAI Nexus therefore does not claim verified preservation of all its published content by either service.

EduAI Nexus has not yet published an issue. OJS settings, a manifest option, or an installed plugin alone would not establish preservation-service participation or confirm a successful deposit. Eligibility, appropriate configuration, and actual content coverage must be verified before any service is described as active.

2. Independent Preservation Plan

The publisher’s plan is to establish and document suitable preservation arrangements separate from the active journal website. Participation requirements and successful deposits must be checked, and coverage should be reviewed at the volume or issue level. Once verified, this page will identify the preservation service and the content covered, with an authoritative record where available.

A service’s logo, an application, a plugin setting, or a statement of intention must not be presented as proof of successful preservation. Until coverage is confirmed, the status above remains the journal’s public statement.

3. Operational Backup and Recovery

MyResearch ID Publishing, operated by CV Multiartha Jatmika, is responsible for retaining recoverable copies of the OJS database, published files, and other files needed to restore the journal. Backup arrangements should include copies separate from the active publishing environment, controlled access, and checks that restoration is possible, particularly before major upgrades or platform changes.

Operational backups support recovery after technical failure or data loss. They are distinct from independent preservation intended to maintain access if the journal or publisher stops operating.

4. Persistent Identifiers and Author Deposits

Crossref DOIs support identification, linking, and discovery; DOI registration does not store or preserve the article’s full text. The responsible publisher must maintain article links and metadata when content moves.

Authors may deposit permitted versions without an embargo, as explained in the Repository Policy. Institutional and other suitable repositories can provide additional access copies, but author deposits do not by themselves demonstrate complete preservation coverage for the journal.

5. Platform Changes and Cessation

If the journal changes platform, transfers to another publisher, or ceases publication, the publisher will seek an appropriate repository or preservation arrangement for the published record, retain essential bibliographic information, and communicate confirmed access arrangements. Access through an external preservation service is subject to that service’s participation and release conditions.

Corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions should remain linked to the affected articles in retained records. Preservation does not prevent correction of the scholarly record.

6. Enquiries and Updates

Journal-level access problems may be reported to eduainexus@myresearch.id. Publisher-level preservation or continuity enquiries may be sent to idmyresearch@gmail.com. This page will be updated when preservation arrangements or verified coverage change.
