Accelerated Publication

Accelerated Publication at GERR offers priority editorial and production handling for authors who need a faster publication timeline. Manuscripts submitted under this track are assessed using the same editorial, peer review, and ethical standards as regular submissions. The target timeline is initial screening within 3 working days, peer review within approximately 14 days, author revision within 7 days, final decision within 30 days, and online publication within 7–14 days after acceptance. Accelerated Publication does not guarantee acceptance and may be delayed if further review is required or if authors do not return revisions, proofs, or required documents on time. The Accelerated Publication APC is 3× the standard APC. Based on the current standard APC of USD200, the Accelerated APC is USD600, payable only if the manuscript is accepted. Author-initiated withdrawal of an unpublished manuscript after accelerated processing has begun incurs a USD300 withdrawal charge, provided the accelerated track and its charge were disclosed and requested before processing began. There is no withdrawal charge before accelerated processing begins or when the journal rejects the manuscript. This is the total journal charge for that withdrawal, not an addition to the full accelerated APC. Any APC already paid is credited against it and any excess is refunded. Approved waivers or discounts must be respected so that the withdrawal charge does not exceed the agreed APC. See the Revenue Sources and Article Withdrawal and Correction Policy for details.
